Many children who were sent out to Australia from England, on the child migrant scheme, were told that they were orphans, even though for many of them this was not true. Bob Taylor was one of those children and although he has spent his life trying to find out where he came from, it is only through DNA and with the help of Louis Coakley and Heather Cox of the Cairns & District Family History Society that he has been finally able to find his family.
